Natureko case: integrated B2B & B2C webstore

We recently delivered a new webstore for Natureko Biodisposables, supplier of sustainable disposables to business and private customers. Natureko came to us for the renewal of their online store, with the main goals being better findability, higher conversion and a more positive shopping experience for their customers.

In addition, they wanted to establish a link between the Magento store and their ERP system Dynamics NAV, so that they can easily synchronize products, prices, customers and orders between the two systems. A nice assignment!

The client

Natureko, a young and growing company from Waddinxveen, imports biobased and compostable disposables, offering an environmentally friendly alternative to plastic disposables. Natureko is particularly active in food service and is distinguished by honest products, personal service, wide range and fast delivery from stock.

The webstore

After an extensive briefing, we came to a functional design and design for the new webstore based on a standard Magento environment, supplemented with a number of custom adjustments. For example, Natureko offers the possibility to request quotes for personalized, printed products, such as sustainable coffee cups with your own logo, or degradable bags with a personal text.

There are several category pages on which you can filter by material (such as banana leaves, sugar cane and cardboard) and by product type (including cutlery, crockery and paper products), and of course it is possible to filter by price.

Natureko also attaches great importance to the design. Based on the house style, we have made a fresh and modern design, which is complemented excellently by the beautiful images supplied by the customer.

B2B adjustments

Natureko’s main target group is business. Since Magento is initially a B2C webstore platform, we have implemented some custom functionalities. For example, a special business environment has been set up next to the consumer store ( showing wholesale numbers and prices. Does a particular customer have special discount arrangements?
These are shown here immediately. We made this possible by setting up MCONNECT, the link between Magento and ERP system Dynamics NAV. All prices and discount rules are synchronized to the web store, so that a customer immediately sees the prices applicable to him after logging in. Business order lists, special shipping rates and other data are also imported into the web store with this link.

Further development

After delivery of a new webstore, it is often the case that there are additional wishes, and that is only good: your webstore is never completely ‘finished’. Also for Natureko we are still busy with extra functionalities, small tweaks and discussing possible future innovations. It has become a beautiful store, and it just keeps getting better!
