About Natureko and Bio Futura

One stable Magento environment for two webshops (Natureko and Bio Futura)
The challenge
Both Natureko and Bio Futura ran on their own Magento environment, each linked to a separate integration with Dynamics 365 Business Central. This meant double management, increased error proneness and unnecessary complexity. For the company's growth and scalability, this was no longer sustainable. The desire was clear: one Magento platform with one robust integration, and immediately benefit from a more modern, faster frontend that meets B2B and B2C customers' requirements such as speed, ease of use and reliability.
The approach
We started with a thorough analysis of the existing Magento environments, including customisations, extensions and links. Many extensions were found to be outdated or no longer in use. These were removed for a cleaner, faster environment. Based on the Hyvä theme we developed a completely new design for Bio Futura that better reflects the current brand identity and B2B user expectations.
The two separate integrations with Dynamics 365 Business Central have been replaced by one central link via our standard connector with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central. As a result, product data, customer information and orders are now automatically synchronised without duplicate set-up or management.
What is Hyvä and why was it chosen?
Hyvä is a modern frontend solution for Magento. It was developed with performance and simplicity in mind. Unlike the traditional Magento Luma frontend, which is often slow and technically complex, Hyvä offers a lightning-fast user experience. Pages load faster, which is essential for customers who want to order quickly or place repeat orders. In addition, Hyvä is easier to maintain, which speeds up further development and adjustments in the future.
The result
Natureko and Bio Futura now have one joint Magento environment with one integrated link to Business Central. This provides immediate savings in system maintenance and integration.
The implementation of the Hyvä theme for Bio Futura provides a faster frontend and a better user experience. Thanks to the new design, Bio Futura better matches the target audience's expectations visually and functionally.
With this new base, Natureko and Bio Futura are ready for further growth,and are committed to improving stability and speed of their environments
Follow-up steps
We are currently busy converting Natureko to the Hyvä theme as well. In addition, the Hyvä Checkout will be implemented immediately for both webshops, ensuring a faster ordering process and an increase in conversions.

Transition from Magento 1 to Magento 2
The goal
Natureko already had a Magento 1 webshop that had been developed by us. As Magento 1 was end-of-life, Natureko was looking for a new platform. The Magento 1 webshop also had a link to Microsoft Dynamics NAV via MCONNECT, a link to Dynamics NAV was a requirement for the new webshop.
Furthermore, the Magento 1 installation consisted of two websites: a site for business customers and a site for consumers. This hard separation proved unnecessary in retrospect; the desire was to combine both sites. It should also be easier for visitors to be able to order different quantities of products.
Finally, Natureko had already built up a lot of organic search traffic over the past few years. It was important that the SEO migration went well and organic traffic was maintained.
Solutions and results
For Natureko, we have a Magento 2 (Open Source) webshop. Magento 2 was quickly chosen because it is fully customisable, our link with Microsoft Dynamics NAV could also be used ready-made for Magento 2 and, of course, Magento 1 was already a fine platform to work with.
We combined the business website and consumer website into 1 website, when business customers log in they see the appointments that apply to them. These appointments come directly from the ERP system Dynamics NAV and are automatically linked to the customer.
Most of the products Natureko sells can be bought in small quantity or per box. On the new website, you can select the quantity per product so that the price difference can be seen at a glance.
The SEO migration was carried out in close cooperation with SDIM, responsible for Natureko's online marketing activities. In terms of technical SEO, many improvements have been made. The website also has more content which benefits organic search traffic.
Almost immediately after the Magento 2 shop went live, there was a sharp increase in conversion rates. Organic traffic also rose sharply. Natureko has received a lot of positive feedback on the new website.
