Her e-commerce platform, running on Magento 2, was, however, in need of renewal. Both the platform version and the template were outdated. Air-Aqua wanted to update the webshop and immediately switch to the Hyvä template. The main objectives? Greater flexibility to implement changes themselves, seamless integration with their existing systems, and all this achieved within a tight timeline.

The challenge

For this project, we faced a number of specific challenges that required a skilled approach:

• Outdated platform The Magento 2 webshop lagged behind in terms of versions and was using an outdated, slow template.
• Retain links The existing, business-critical clutch met Exact via xCore had to keep running without interruption.
• Need for management The client wanted the freedom to easily make visual and content changes themselves.
• Tight schedule The implementation had to be perfectly timed, as the project threatened to clash with Air-Aqua's approaching peak season.

Our solution

To effectively tackle these challenges, we opted for a structured approach with optimisation and speed at its core:

• Spring clean We've started cleaning up the Magento environment. Old, unused extensions and redundant customisations have been completely removed.
• Up-to-date basis: At the same time, we updated Magento and PHP to the latest and most secure versions. The customisations that needed to be kept were made fully compatible with Hyvä.
• Good implementation Our basic Hyvä template has been installed and fully customised to Air-Aqua's brand identity. By deploying Hyvä Commerce as a base, the customer now benefits from convenient built-in tools such as Page Builder and Menu Builder and in the future the Email Template BuilderThis rendered many external extensions redundant.
• Tight live run After a short and intensive period of User Acceptance Testing (UAT), we have successfully launched the webshop.

• Fresh look & top speed: The webshop has been given a modern design and loads faster thanks to Hyvä, which directly contributes to a better user experience for the pond specialists.
• Maximum control The Air-Aqua team can now easily adjust pages and menus themselves without the involvement of a developer.
• Optimal security To protect the webshop maximally during the project phase and afterwards, we have Sansec Shield Installed.
• Quick order via AI: Purchase orders by email can now be converted into a webshop order without manual intervention using AI.
• Privacy-proof The old cookie banner has been replaced with a better, more privacy-friendly alternative that meets the latest standards.
