What is the Shopware AI Copilot?
The Shopware AI Copilot is your personal, integrated e-commerce assistant, directly in the Shopware Administration. It is the heart of Shopware Intelligence. Where AI previously primarily helped with writing texts, Shopware is now turning to so-called Agentic Commerce.
This means that the AI acts as an ‘agent’ that not only answers questions but also proactively analyzes data, proposes decisions, and can perform complex multi-step processes for you. The Copilot does routine tasks faster and often more efficiently than a human, allowing you to focus on growing your business.
What can you do with it?
The AI Copilot is packed with features that improve both your back-end and front-end operations. In addition to the familiar tools, impressive new capabilities have been added:
Agentic Commerce & Data-analysis (New!):
- Automating complex tasks: Give the Copilot a task (“Find poorly performing products and lower the price by 5%”) and the AI analyzes, decides, and performs the task for you.
- Direct data insights: Ask the Copilot for specific data (e.g., “Show a graph of last year’s newsletter signups” or “What were the top 10 bestsellers from last month?”) and you’ll get immediate clear answers, tables, or graphs.
For content, products, and visuals:
- Smart image editing (Image Editor): Remove backgrounds with one click, customize product images, and place products in new environments.
- CAD to 3D: Instantly convert your existing CAD files (.step) into optimized 3D models (.glb) for AR in Shopware, without external tools.

Is the usage free with a Shopware license?
Yes, starting with Shopware version 6.7.1.0, the base version of AI Copilot is available for All other users, including shop owners who use the free Shopware Community Edition. You no longer need an expensive license to integrate the basic capabilities of AI into your store.
However, you must sign up for a subscription to continue using Shopware Intelligence. Without a subscription, you can try it out a few times, but after that you need to sign up for a subscription. This can be done directly from the Shopware Backend. The Shopware version you pay for determines the price; community edition users pay more than users with a paid license.
How can I start with the co-pilot?
Getting started with Shopware Intelligence is easier than ever:
- Update your shop: Make sure your webshop runs on at least Shopware version 6.7.1.0.
- Open your Shopware Administration: You’ll find the Copilot right in your familiar dashboard. You can start asking questions, generating texts, and retrieving your data right away.
- Discover the possibilities: Start simple. Ask the Copilot about your best-selling products of the past month, or have him generate a product description.
- Upgrade for more: Are you running into limitations or do you want the AI to take on complex tasks such as price adjustments and advanced product onboarding entirely? Then book the Shopware Intelligence+ upgrade (available starting with v6.7.3) to remove all limits.
